Charles River’s Chief Scientist Serves as Guest Expert at Multi-Sensor Data Fusion Seminars
CAMBRIDGE, MA – Dr. Subrata Das, Chief Scientist at Charles River Analytics, will serve as guest expert at Multi-Sensor Data Fusion seminars that will take place in October and November, 2007. The seminars focus on the latest advancements in multi-sensor data fusion, including both higher and lower-level fusion solutions.

The seminars provide guidelines for using various models and techniques to deal with higher level problems associated with decision making in complex, uncertain environments. Examples and demonstrations are drawn from a broad range of critical operational scenarios – from urban operations, to anti-terrorism, air operations, missile defense, and platform/system health monitoring. Available software tools are discussed, and participants engage in an analyses of several examples of military scenarios, including building appropriate belief networks for assessing enemy situations and developing appropriate Bayesian response recommendation

Seminars are scheduled in the following locations:

Elgin AFB, FL – October 11-12, 2007

San Diego, CA – November 1-2, 2007

Las Vegas, NV – November 15-16, 2007

These seminars are sponsored by Technology Training Corporation.

BNet™.Builder Used for Emotion Modeling at a Cognitive Science Summer School
SOFIA, BULGARIA -- Dr. Eva Hudlicka used BNet.Builder for a lab exercise in a course on emotion modeling at the New Bulgarian University Cognitive Science Summer School. Dr. Hudlicka said, "The BNet software was a real success. The students really enjoyed building nets and found it easy to use."

BNet.Builder User Tip: Upgrading to the Commercial Version
The Evaluation version of BNet.Builder limits networks to five nodes each and displays a Charler River Analytics logo in the background. The Commercial version removes the five node limit and does not display the logo.

You can purchase a license for BNet.Builder directly on our Web site at http://www.cra.com/bnet.builder. All you need to provide is your Activation Key, which can be found by going to Help > About BNet.Builder.

Once you purchase a license, we will send you a license file called BNet.key. Then follow these steps:
- Click the Upgrade button in the About dialog box
- Select "I have a valid license file" and click Next
- Specify the location of the BNet.key license file and click Finish
The five node limit and the Charles River Analytics logo will then be removed.

BNet™.EngineKit User Tip: Upgrading to the Commercial Version
The Evaluation version of BNet.EngineKit also limits networks to five nodes each. As with BNet.Builder, you can purchase a license for BNet.EngineKit directly on our Web site at http://www.cra.com/bnet.enginekit to remove the five node limit.

You can obtain your BNet.EngineKit Activation Key in one of two ways:
- Double-click the bnet-engine.jar file (in the lib directory)
- Execute the following on the command line in the lib directory: java -jar bnet-engine.jar

Once you purchase a license, we will send you a license file called BNet.key. You can use it in one of two ways:
- Create a directory named "license" in the root of your project that uses BNet.EngineKit and place the BNet.key license file in that directory
- Embed the BNet.key license file in the root directory inside bnet-engine.jar (using a tool like WinZip)
