Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, will feature its technology for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) tasking and retasking at the Electronic Systems Center Command and Control (C2) Constellation's Deliberate and Dynamic ISR Management (D2ISRM) operational demonstration. D2ISRM aims to improve the C2 of ISR for better coordination and utilization of ISR-capable assets. Charles River’s contribution for D2ISRM is an options-generation capability that recommends ISR platform tasking and re-tasking based upon mission considerations. The demonstration will take place on April 10-13, 2012, in Bedford, MA.

“We’re excited to have Air Force operators use our technology during this demo to test how our technology operates under realistic conditions,” said Dr. Scott Neal Reilly, Vice President, Decision Management Systems.

The D2ISRM operational demonstration will place Air Force operators in a representative AOC environment, a transformation of the MITRE Corporation’s Agile Capable Mashup Environment (ACME) Lab, and will use D2ISRM capabilities to execute an operationally-realistic scenario in real-time.

Mr. Brad Rosenberg, Senior Scientist at Charles River, explained, “Today, collection managers in an Air Operations Center [AOC] must manually integrate a wide array of information to determine how to best allocate incoming information requests to available ISR platforms. Our technology generates recommended options and provides intuitive visualizations for decision-makers to rapidly gain insights into the best solutions. We have developed this technology under several research efforts sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory, including the Architecture for Perceptual Sensing effort, known as Perseid.”

Mr. Rosenberg continued, “The D2ISRM initiative is a great opportunity for us to mature and transition research and development to real-world operational systems. We are integrating with infrastructure and services that form the next generation of the AOC Weapon System. We are one of the first small businesses to experiment with providing capabilities in this new environment. ”
