Charles River Analytics, developer of intelligent systems solutions, returned to the U.S. Army Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) open house to demonstrate our EPIC3 traumatic injury prediction app. The event took place September 12th at the TATRC Mobile Health Innovation Center (mHIC) outside of Augusta, GA.

Dr. Victor Middleton, our partner on the Dynamic Representation for Evaluating the Effect of Moderators and Stress on Performance (DREEMS) effort, presented our toolkit that analyzes fatigue and other stressors at the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) 2018 Fall Simulation Innovation Workshop. With the DREEMS toolkit, the US Army can significantly improve its understanding of how fatigue affects small soldier unit survivability and operational effectiveness.

Staff and their families returned to the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown, MA. Charles River scientists, engineers, and support staff play as hard as they work. This year, employees and their families enjoyed balloon animals, face painting, fried dough, and prizes in a carnival-themed bash.

Charles River Analytics, developer of intelligent systems solutions, created a weather and climate forecasting tool to improve mission planning for the US Navy. Current Navy forecasting systems and mission planning tools rely exclusively on short-term forecasts or long-term statistical climate products to inform operational plans. Substituting short-term forecasts and statistical climate data with long-range forecasts can improve mission readiness and effectiveness, while ensuring safety and reducing cost, labor, and resource requirements.
