Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, will present efforts in healthcare support and training at the 2015 Military Health Research Symposium (MHSRS). The symposium will take place at the Marriot Harbor Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, from August 17-20, 2015.

Charles River will discuss or demonstrate the following efforts at MHSRS:

  • Tourniquet Master Training (TMT) – a system to teach, assess, and provide refresher training on new battlefield tourniquet technology to aid warfighters in treating junctional hemorrhage injuries
  • Monitoring, Extracting, and Decoding Indicators of Cognitive workload (MEDIC) – a system to automatically sense indicators of cognitive workload
  • Assessment and Diagnosis of Vestibular Indicators of Soldier Operational Readiness (ADVISOR) – a system for in-theater vestibular function assessment
  • Mobile, Virtual Enhancements for Rehabilitation (MOVER) – a system to enhance outpatient rehabilitation with engaging video games, a mobile app, sensors, and virtual coaches
  • Adaptable Toolkit for the Assessment and Augmentation of Performance by Teams in Real Time (ADAPTER) – A toolkit that models individual and team cognitive state and recommends performance optimization strategies
  • Stand-Off Biometric Assay (SOMBA) - a non-contact system to unobtrusively measure physiological signals that can be translated into indicators for health, identification, and psychological state

Charles River has expanded its research and development focus in recent years to the field of healthcare support and training. In 2012, Charles River announced multiple contract awards, including two surgical training systems, a first-aid training framework, and artificial intelligent enhancements for recovering amputees.
